9-1-1 Service Is Dependent Upon A Staff Of Highly Trained And Dedicated Communications Officers To Provide The Essential Telecommunications Services For The Community And The Public Safety Agencies Serving The Citizens And Visitors Of Virginia's Eastern Shore. Our Center Is Staffed By A Minimum Of Two Communications Officers (Dispatchers) At All Times. Operationally, The 9‑1‑1 Communications Officers Handle Both Call-taking And Dispatching Duties Simultaneously.
